YOU ARE WELCOME HERE

Salem UMC recognizes that the much of the present and all of the future belongs to our children.  The congregation has made a long term commitment to provide a  clean, safe, well supervised environment  to nurture your child.  The program is constantly evolving to create new and exciting learning experiences.  Be assured that Salem takes this responsiblility  very seriously. Your input and suggestions are valued and appreciated. 

 

NURSERY:  A  Nursery Coordinator and congregation volunteers provide child care during worship services for children ages newborn through 3 years old.  During Sunday School hour, the nursery is available for children under 2.  Child care is also available during church events.  The nursery is located in the children's wing.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH:  Children, ages 5 through 5th grade are encouraged to attend this servece.  It is designed just for their age group and meets in the children's wing during the  8:45  service.

CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL:  We offer a complete Sunday school program for grades 1 through 5.  It is designed as a rotation Sunday school to keep the  material new and intresting.  The children experience creative lessons through drama, storytelling, crafts, computer visual aid, and music.

ADVENTURE CLUB:  Meeting 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, this is a place for kids to have fun and fellowship.  A variety of different activities are planned each week. 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL:  A community wide experience for all children from preschool to 5th grade, it is planned  usually for July.   VBS is an exciting bundle of games, music, and learning during the Summer months. 

Easter Egg "EGGSTRAVAGANZA"   Children meet in the Fefllowship Hall for age grouping.  Invite your friends and neighbors for refreshments and entertainment.  Pictures available witht the "bunnies"
