Pastor

Salem’s pastor is Rev. Jonathan Tullos. A native of Philadelphia, Mississippi, Brother Jonathan has previously served congregations in Meridian, Mississippi (two separate appointments), and Stanton, Kentucky. He was licensed as a Local Pastor in 2013 and commissioned as a Provisional Elder in the Mississippi Annual Conference in 2018. He is also appointed to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.

Brother Jonathan is a former paramedic. Additionally, he is a former radio personality, working for radio stations in Meridian, Mississippi, and Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Brother Jonathan holds a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky (2019). He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Religion from Liberty University (2015), as well as associate’s degrees in broadcasting and paramedicine from Meridian Community College (2001) and East Central Community College (2010) respectively. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, reading, exploring new places, and roasting coffee (ask him about this!). Brother Jonathan is also active in various civic organizations and he is a high school football, softball, and baseball official with the Mississippi High School Activities Association.

Brother Jonathan is married to his wife Jessica whom he claims is much smarter than him. Jessica is teacher in the George County School District.
